Samir Kakar

Chief Technology Officer

Samir is responsible for the vision behind Aptara’s publishing technology solutions and its Content Technology Development practice, as well as the design of the company’s global IT infrastructure. Since joining Aptara in 1993, Samir has been instrumental in developing the company’s technology portfolio and the processes that support its customers. Samir is a graduate of the University of Delhi, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and an honors masters degree in operational research.

Neil Campling

Chief Financial Officer

An experienced technology investor and analyst, Neil spearheads Aptara’s financial strategy, investor relations, and growth initiatives. He is based in London, near the company’s institutional investors. Prior to joining Aptara, Neil was a partner and head of TMT Research at Aviate Global LLP and held senior portfolio manager positions at Aberdeen Asset Management and New Star Asset Management, both leading international investment firms. With 20 years’ experience in the investment community and wide-ranging knowledge of the dynamic changes in the technology and media industries, Neil is focused on making Aptara a leader in digital content development, management, and delivery. In his downtime, Neil enjoys cinema, concerts, fine wines, and soccer—he is, in fact, a lifelong, loyal devotee of the Liverpool F.C. 

Mike Stacy

Executive Vice President, Enterprise

As the head of Aptara’s Corporate Learning & Performance practices, Mike brings over 25 years of experience in the training industry, global outsourcing, and technology-based process improvements to deliver solutions that significantly improve performance and impact clients’ bottom lines. Previously, Mike led Aptara’s Learning & Performance Sales organization. Prior to coming to Aptara in 2006, he was part of the executive team at PRIMEDIA, where he developed innovative learning delivery and documentation solutions and led a team of 125 sales and support personnel. Mike also led sales efforts at Ninth House Networks, an eLearning company, growing its customer base threefold. Prior to Ninth House Networks, Mike held senior management roles at Thomson Learning and Crisp Learning.

Deepak Kumar

Executive Vice President

Deepak is expert in building, managing, and sustaining large businesses. He leads two of Aptara’s major practice areas—Banking, Financial Services, & Insurance (BFSI) and Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, for which he handles sales and business development, strategic planning, and emerging technologies based. Previously, he led Aptara’s Financial Publishing Group. Before joining Aptara, Deepak worked with Gillette and Phillip Morris in increasingly senior roles. He loves to travel to far-off places and enjoys listening to music.

Sriram Panchanathan

Senior Vice President, Digital Solutions

Sriram leads Aptara’s Digital Solutions Group, which is responsible for eBook conversion services, XML-based content transformation solutions, and digitization solutions. Sriram has extensive experience in process excellence, technology development, and business development in both services and software product spaces with cross-cultural management experience in India and the United States. Sriram came to Aptara from Amazon, where he set up several mission critical teams supporting the Kindle content store and was responsible for operations, process excellence, vendor management, and technology development, among other areas. Prior to Amazon, Sriram was a management consultant with PRTM, a premiere strategy consulting firm, advising Fortune 500 clients on product strategy and innovation. Sriram was also a principal engineer at Webtrends in the web analytics domain. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from IIT Kharagpur in India, a master’s degree in transportation operations research from the University of Delaware, and an MBA in finance and strategy from Cornell University.

Debashis Chaudhuri

Senior Vice President, India Operations

Debashis, better known as DC, has been an architect of Aptara’s success for more than two decades. He has served in senior positions for several divisions, including digital solutions, information technology, quality assurance, and human resources. Prior to Aptara, DC was involved in software development. His thorough understanding and process knowledge about digital content, eBook creation, and overall publishing content solutions inform the systems and operational overhauls he develops for Aptara’s clients. A skilled strategist, DC turns blue-sky blueprints into workable solutions, all while meeting pre-established performance benchmarks for key operational goals. DC manages the human resources and administration for Aptara’s offshore operations.

Prashant Kapoor, CA, CMA, B.Com(H)

Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller

Two decades’ of accounting, finance, and management experience back Prashant’s management of Aptara’s Accounting and Finance Group. He is responsible for international and domestic audits, internal and external reporting, direct and indirect taxes, foreign exchange strategy, and all commercial functions. Upon joining Aptara in 2003, he spearheaded the company’s seamless migration of U.S. accounting and audit functions to India. He has since integrated various enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems at the company. Prior to joining Aptara, Prashant worked for an eFunds group in the United States, as well as for Tefal India Household Appliances and Allianz Capital and Management Services in India. When he's not working, Prashant loves to travel with his family. 

Puneet Mukoo

Vice President, Information Technology

Puneet is the head of Aptara’s global IT operations. He leads a team of more than 100 professionals who provide 24/7 mission-critical infrastructure and applications support to both internal and external customers. Puneet’s expertise includes service and infrastructure management, technology architecture, information security, IT governance, and business continuity. Since joining Aptara in 2009, Puneet has been instrumental in building a robust and scalable IT infrastructure to meet the ever-changing business needs of Aptara and its clients. Prior to Aptara, Puneet led IT operations for Adobe across 11 locations in India and the Asia Pacific region. Puneet holds a bachelors of electrical engineering and an MBA in information technology and international business. 

Megan Prosser

Vice President, Marketing

Megan’s eclectic background has prepared her to head the marketing division of a multi-faceted company like Aptara. She has worked in management in both the corporate and not-for-profit worlds, handling business development and marketing for arts, educational, and engineering organizations, and developing marketing strategies for a number of technology start-ups. Since joining the company in 2009, she has worked closely with the company’s division leaders, product developers, and executive management team to craft strategic positioning that supports Aptara’s innovative solutions. Megan holds a BA from Mary Washington University and an MBA from George Washington University. A native of Virginia, Megan loves to spend time outdoors with her husband—and her horse.

Sara Grigg

Vice President, Accounting and Finance

Sara leads Aptara’s U.S. accounting team and is responsible for corporate tax, treasury, and business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and acquisitions. When she joined Aptara in 2007, she brought with her 20 years of diverse accounting experience at both for-profit corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to Aptara, Sara was the director of budgeting at Sunrise Senior Living. She holds a BS in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Sandra Perkins

Vice President, Human Resources

Sandra is an accomplished HR professional with more than 20 years of business experience. At Aptara, she built out and manages a fully compliant HR infrastructure, including benefits design. Managers rely on her advice and coaching in employee development, and she plays a key role in the ongoing workforce transformation that keeps Aptara an industry leader. Her professional priority is creating a work environment where every employee feels comfortable, valued, and fulfilled. Sandra began her career in HR at Hilton Hotels, where she gained valuable insights into revenue generation and management, accounting and budgeting practices, and the ins and outs of running an HR organization day to day. In her spare time, Sandra serves on the board of directors for Capital City Public Relations and enjoys competitive sports.
