Certifications

Aptara has been awarded ISO 9001:2015, 27001:2013 and ISO 22301:2019 certifications based on ISO audits performed by internal and external auditors on Aptara led processes and departments followed by surveillance audits on the same.

 

 

ISO 9001:2015 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). Our QMS provides a framework for setting targets, measuring performance, and reporting results of set objectives. Aptara has adopted the ISO 9001 standard since October 2003.

ISO 27001:2013 is the internationally recognized best practice framework for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). It is one of the most popular information security standards worldwide. Aptara has adopted the ISO 27001 standard since May 2007.

 

Aptara’s ISMS Policy

Aptara is committed to adequately protect the interests of its stakeholders, which include customers, shareholders, employees, and vendors by ensuring that the security requirements are fully adhered to. It shall do so by following well-defined processes in its ISMS. These entail a strict security regime where all data and information is protected against unauthorized disclosure, access, and modification and managed through proper processes across the organization. Our information security system provides a framework for setting targets, measuring performance, and reporting results of set objectives. By instituting these set objectives and measurement parameters, as well as following the principles of continual improvement, we strive for excellence.

 

ISO 22301:2019 provides a best practice framework for implementing an optimized Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), enabling an organization to minimize business disruption and continue operating in the event of an incident. Aptara has adopted the ISO 22301 standard since May 2018.

Aptara, through its Business Continuity Management System, is committed to minimizing the impact of potential strategic operational and financial risks associated with service interruption. By implementing processes, systems, controls, and maintaining viable incident response plans and business continuity plans, it can recover critical services during business disruptions within acceptable timeframes and at agreed service levels.

 

Our BCMS provides a framework for robust business recovery that is regularly reviewed and tested. Therefore, it helps in setting targets, measuring performance, and meeting legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

SOC 2 Type 2 complied

SOC 2 Type 2 report covers the AICPA’s Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security, Availability, Processing Integrity and Confidentiality. It provides an independent assessment of Aptara’s security control environment. The assessment includes a description of the controls, the tests performed to assess them, the results of these tests, and an overall opinion on the design and operational effectiveness of the same. Audits are performed annually.
